A Helping Hand!

SoWal Recycles was founded by Cyrus (10 years old) & Grace (8 years old) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL when they realized the efforts involved in recycling. Our local Waste Management company does not offer recycling pick up and some people choose not to recycle due to the lack of time. Climbing gas prices has become and additional factor as well.
Cyrus and Grace thought to blend the eco-friendly carpooling concept with recycling and thus created SoWal Recycle, a door to door, curb-side pick up service for all your recycling needs. They even offer pick up and sort for those who don't want the extra bins in their home.
We are now accepting new customers in the greater SoWal area! So if you need a helping hand fill out the contact form online now!

In the NEWS & Turtle Fest 2011

How exciting for us!  We were featured on southwaltonscene.com's website as new businesses to check out! See us on here: southwaltonscene.com

We had a great time at the Turtle Fest in Gulf Place yesterday. We were able to spread the news about our eco-friendly service and several people were interested in joining our cause to keep SoWal beautiful! We learned all about how we can do our part to help protect the Sea Turtles and how lucky we are to have 4 out of 5 of the known nesting sea turtles come to OUR beautiful beaches to nest! That's so cool! We look forward to supporting South Walton Community Council with some of the money we make in recycling!

Thanks for the support and happy recycling!

Recycle Bins & Recycling Guidelines

We've had a lot of people ask whether or not we provide recycle bins or bags.  We can provide bags for you if you would like us to. Just let us know when you submit your contact form.

We found some great inexpensive stackable 18 gal bins for sale at Sears for only $9.99 each, much cheaper than other stores. Follow the link and purchase yours http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00968231000P .  There are also some very nice stainless steel ones on sites like Walmart.com and Amazon.com. We hope that helps.

Here are the county's guidelines for recycling so you can help us follow the guidelines on what can be recycled and how we can help make it easier for you:

What to Recycle:
  • Clean dry paper
  • Plastics (please rinse, no bottle tops) (we can help rinse)
  • Glass (please rinse, no bottle tops) (we can help rinse)
  • Tin/steel/aluminum cans
  • Corrugated cardboard
You can sort and put these items in separate bags or just toss them in the same bag and we'll sort them out and put them in the right bins.

Thanks for the Support!

Our First Customer!

Today we got a customer and we are so excited. She will move from England and coming here this summer. She chose the monthly and we get the amazing 25 dollars. We like her and we have a lot of fans on Facebook, 18 exactly. We made fliers and put them on our neighbor's door knobs or in there mail boxes, hopefully they will recycle them. So we are having a lot of fun spreading the word about SoWal Recycle! We hope you will have as much fun recycling with us.
